
An 11-year-old has been taken to hospital after being attacked by a shark in waters off the Cape Range National Park in Western Australia.
Paramedics were called to Kurrajong Campground in the shire of Exmouth on Saturday afternoon.

The 11-year-old was treated at the scene, before being flown to Perth Children’s Hopsital for further assessment.
The extent of his injuries are unknown, although they are believed to be non-life-threatening.
Surf Life Saving WA tweeted that an unknown species of shark was spotted around Exmouth, one metre offshore, at about 3.15pm on Saturday.
Exmouth is 13-hours from Perth and known for it’s world heritage listed marine parks.
WA’s Parks and Wildlife Service has closed beaches between Pilgramunna and Bloodwood Creek in the Cape Range National Park near Exmouth, Surf Life Saving WA said in a statement.
The Department of Primary Industries and Regional Development is investigating the incident and co-ordinating a response.
