Poor student discipline leads to higher rates of teacher turnover - Sky News Australia

Poor student discipline and engagement are leading to high rates of teacher turnover, according to a new OECD report on Australia’s education system.

The report has labelled Australia a high performer overall but also found mixed outcomes for students from underprivileged and poorer backgrounds.

Students from regional communities or who are Indigenous are three times as likely to fall behind in school.

The report suggests greater access to early education for disadvantaged and Indigenous students is needed to improve results.
