Students evacuated after Gold Coast school goes up in flames - 9News
Students at a primary school on the Gold Coast have been evacuated after a fire tore through the premises just before lunchtime.

Emergency crews rushed to the Labrador State School on Imperial Parade, in the city’s north, just after 11.50am today where they found a demountable had been engulfed by flames.

It’s understood the school’s community gardens and well as a kitchen facility were damaged as a result of the blaze.

Queensland Fire and Emergency Services (QFES) said investigations were underway into the cause of the fire.

The blaze had eventually been extinguished by 12.10pm.

Students were evacuated to the school’s oval. 

No injuries were reported.
