Two dead after crash in hospital carpark in Sydney’s west - Sky News Australia

Two women have died after an accident in the carpark of a hospital in Sydney’s west. 

Emergency services rushed to Nepean Hospital on Derby Street at Kingswood about 3.20pm on Thursday following reports of a crash. 

New South Wales Police were told when they arrived that a car, believed to be driven by a woman in her 60s, reversed into another car, before hitting a pedestrian. 

The pedestrian is understood to be a woman aged in her 40s. 

NSW Ambulance paramedics attempted to save the women, but they died at the scene. 

The driver of the other car, believed to be aged in her 30s, was treated by hospital staff for shock. 

Police are investigating the incident. 

“The driver and pedestrian were both assessed by NSW Ambulance paramedics; however, they were pronounced dead at the scene,” a statement read. 

“The driver of the other car – a woman believed to be aged in her 30s – was treated by hospital staff for shock.

“Police have commenced an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the incident.”
