Ahmad, 39, was shot on a Greenacre street in the city’s south-west on April 27, 2022.
Four men had previously been charged in connection with the alleged gangland shooting, with police announcing two more arrests today.

Two men, both aged 33, were arrested in raids at Clemton Park and Campsie this morning.
Both have been taken to Campsie Police Station, where they are assisting with inquiries.
Police will allege the Clemton Park man was involved in the moving of vehicles after the alleged shooting.
He has been charged with 16 offences, including accessory after the fact to murder.
The Campsie man was charged with 15 offences, including knowingly directing the activities of a criminal group.
It will be further alleged that both men were involved in the supply of 1kg of methylamphetamine and 1.1kg of cocaine across Sydney’s south-west, with a potential street value of $3 million.
Police will allege investigations into Ahmad’s shooting also led officers to uncover plans for a separate murder, which was foiled.
“During our investigations, we uncovered evidence that they were planning to commit another murder – we have basically stopped that murder from occurring,” Detective Chief Superintendent Jason Weinstein said today.

In the video, a stolen Porsche can be seen driving past the underworld figure before two bursts of gunfire are seen.
The vehicle allegedly involved was later found burnt out.

“He was sprayed with a number of bullets, which killed him,” he said.
“It was an indiscriminate shooting really because other people in the street may have also been shot.”
The other four men previously charged – aged 26, 29, 37 and 49 – remain before the courts.
Both 33-year-old men were refused bail to appear at Bankstown Local Court tomorrow.
