Two police officers have been stabbed in a “high-risk incident” at Crystal Brook, the ABC understands.
Paramedics have been called out to the scene at the highest priority level and a medical chopper is en route.
Crystal Brook is a town 200 kilometres north of Adelaide, and about 28 kilometres from Port Pirie.
President of the Police Association of South Australia, Mike Carroll, said the union was “extremely concerned about the incident today”.
“We are doing all we can to assist the families of our injured members – this highlights how dangerous this job is, the circumstances are a tragedy,” he said in a statement.
More to come.
