Woman dies after being found hurt at Kewdale house in Perth, man arrested following crash - ABC News

A 37-year-old man has been arrested over the death of a woman who was found seriously injured in a home in Perth’s south-east.

Police were called to a residence on Knutsford Avenue in Kewdale at 7:45pm on Monday.

The 35-year-old woman was taken to Royal Perth Hospital, where she later died.

Police said the man, who knew the woman, drove to a service station on the corner of Kent Street and Berwick Street in East Victoria Park, where he allegedly threatened staff.

He then crashed his vehicle on Berwick Street at the intersection of Emily Street in the nearby suburb of St James.

The man was arrested at a nearby residence at 8:20pm and was taken to hospital where he remains under police guard.

The man’s car was left a crumpled wreck after the crash.()

The nature of the woman’s injuries and how she died has not been confirmed.

Police are yet to lay any charges against the man.

The man left the service station after threatening staff and crashed his car in St James, police say.()
